Wood finishing and care

We finish wax all of our boards with 3 coats of our own, handcrafted, Original Beeswax wood paste. The oil helps penetrate the grain of the wood, while the beeswax gives it a beautifully soft sheen, helping to add a water resistant barrier while aiding in preventing staining and food odor absorption!

We recommend resealing any wooden cutting board with a beeswax oil blend after every few uses. We offer our own handcrafted wood pastes in three different blends for easy wood care.

Wood Species Information
○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○

Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) is a very durable and dense hardwood with a Janka rating of 1010, similar in hardness to Teak. Black Walnut heartwood is rich dark brown to purplish-black and is usually straight grained. Wavy or curly grain is sometimes present. Texture is coarse. other names commonly associated with Black Walnut are American Walnut, Virginia Walnut, Canaletto, and Black Hickory Nut.

Shipping rates are listed with the item, based on lowest cost shipping: USPS Parcel Post with delivery confirmation, which usually takes between 3-8 days. If within the shipping cost I will choose to ship USPS Priority Mail (1-5 days) or FedEx Ground (1-5 days).
